Another year comes to an end. I'm sure everyone is looking back and reflecting over 2017 and debating whether it was a good or bad year. As a goal setter, myself, I like to look back and see what I have achieved rather than focusing on what I had lost or goals that fell short. I look at failure and short comings not as an outright loss, instead I look for the good that came from them. I always say "everything happens for a reason", whether it be by choice or out of my control. I'm sure some could debate that expression, but I feel it is important to learn from our moments of weakness.
This past year, 2017, was full of significant growth for me. I really pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I motivated myself to meet new people, some of which have become very good friends. By meeting new people I was inspired to think more outside of the box than I ever had before. These new connections and friendships helped direct me in the right path. I've learned so much from them whether it was through quick conversation or a spark leading to a new relationship. While being constantly inspired by others and with a newfound knowledge that I have gained, I have adjusted my goals and started to brainstorm. I've set the bar really high for myself this year, but why think small when I know I can go so much higher?
With the launch of neiltastic.com this is only the starting step of many great things to come. In 2018 I will: Compete in my first fitness competition. Explore a new career and start up a small business. Travel and get more stamps in my passport. Continue to expand my professional network. Collaborate with awesome people and brands that I believe in. And most importantly, continue to live everyday with passion, authenticity and integrity.
So, heres to an amazing and successful new year!
What will you do in 2018?
