It's officially Spring here in Toronto, but despite what the calendar says, Mother Nature always has a plan of her own. I always get slightly carried away this time of year and start to pack away my winter parkas and scarves anxiously anticipating the warmer temperatures of Spring. I feel like the sporadic ups and downs in temperature is always expected, but us Torontonians are always caught by surprise. The overstayed cool weather reluctantly forces us to pull over that additional sweater and seek out a pair of gloves. I guess we get a little over excited by the sight of sunshine! I tend to dress for the season and not the temperature, resulting in being uncomfortable and clutching my jacket closed in the gusty winds - Which is always my fault and I never seem to learn. My advice to you is to keep your layers light in weight so that they add warmth without the additional bulk. Not only does it add purpose, but in my opinion a layered look is more interesting and pleasing to the eyes. The good news is, however, that we're in the final stretch before Toronto explodes with colour, heat and never ending summer activities!
