As of late, I have been struggling getting up early and tackling each day with the best of my ability. My mornings have mainly consisted of a frantic quick shower, super quick cup of coffee (on a good day) and dashing out the door to get to my destination. I find this very frustrating as it's not like me at all. I like to blame it on the weather and the days being short, but i know I can't throw the blame at Mother Nature. Some of you may know that I have been training for a fitness competition that I was planning to compete in this Spring. But after an injury and a discussion with my trainer, he advised me to consider competing in the fall or Spring of 2019 instead. This sent me in a downward spiral and I eventually stopped going to the gym and following my meal plans. This made me even more upset as I enjoy working out and I was starting to see some great progress. So now what? After thinking long and hard I have re-challenged myself to tackle the weights again but harder than ever. As much as I don't like it, I think the break was good for me. It's unfortunate because now I'm basically back at square one but my focus can't be wavered. Like I did almost two years ago, I'm promising myself that I am going to do this and I'm going to do it well.

Maybe you have experienced something similar in your life. Whatever it may be, the thing to know is that you have the ability to make it happen again. Is it going to suck starting over again? Yes. Are you going to experience another set-back? Maybe. Will the final outcome be worth it? Absolutely! Nothing comes easy, or for free. So next time you feel like quitting — re-make that promise to yourself. Rise to the challenge that you set and kick it's ass!
